Just wonderi...Hey tPP -- fellow canoe tripper here. Just wondering what all do you dehydrate? We do fruits and steak (for jerky) but shy away from veggies and other things. We tried dehydrating asparagus and string beans, but when we rehydrated them on the trip they weren't near as good as the freeze-dried(?) dehydrated foods you buy at the store. <br /><br />What kinds of foods do you dehydrate? Do you dehydrate your main meals too? Cook them up and then stick them in the dehydrator? And then just rehyrdate when your making dinner? <br /><br />I'd be interested in hearing. We haven't gone on anything longer than 10 days, but we usually just make fresh dinners at the beginning of the trip and dehydrated (bought) meals toward the end.
